Secret Pal 5 Questionnaire for Kitty Kitty

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer high- a nd/natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

I am not a yarn snob per se, but more of a fiber snob. I prefer natural and organic fibers, but will not turn my nose up at interesting synthetic fibers. When given the choice, I will always opt for natural over synthetic.

For me, the key features are texture, interest, and hand. I covet anything soft to the touch. I am intrigued by the unusual (fiber combination, texture, or novelty) and of course anything cheetah print.

I cringe at anything scratchy, itchy, and hard.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?

Spinning: not yet, the idea does interest me

I haven't crocheted since I was a young girl, but then only granny squares. My mother is the crochet master in the family. I regret not having more patience to have learned from her.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.) Yes; smoke, strong perfume, millinery arsenic, dairy, mold, anything citrus, and pollen
4. How long have you been knitting? I learned when I was a young girl, took a 13 year break, and now I am back to knitting.
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? Amazon.com
6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)

Madagascan Vanilla, Vanilla, Lavender, Honey, Maple Sugar, and Camomile

I am definitely a bath slut, but not really into candles except for kitchen candles.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

My music taste are pretty eclectic. I am a trained classical pianists who seldom listens to classical music. I love hard-core european and japanese techno, the more underground and heavier the beat, the better. I like kodo drums, traditional asian sounds, old school Kitaro, old school new age, sad and emotional music (japanese, gaelic and celtic). I like music that conveys emotions through unusual sounds, where the listener need not know the meaning but can understand emotions of the musician.

I dislike most American music and find the American music really trite. The exception to the rule is Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy who will always hold a place in my heart because of my grandparents. And Joan Morris because of my mother and uncle.

Yes, i can play MP3s. Itunes is my friend and I could not live without my ipod.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?

my colour preference can be summed up as subfusk.

How many of you remember the old fad where colour consultants analyzed you by season? Forgive me, I grew up in the south, where it was a necessity to discuss your season in every dress shop. :) So here goes, technically my hair and eyes are fall, but my skin is spring/winter.

I tend to wear earthy colours: olive, sage, orange, burnt sienna, loden green, natural, brown, blue-red, and black. On rare occasions though, I do wear hot pink and a rich emerald green. I look for colours with blue undertones. Yellow undertones look horrible on me.
